The Visual Side of Super Bowl XLVI
A number of Herron School of Art and Design graduates and future instructors were contributors to the 46 for XLVI Super Bowl murals project that was part of Indianapolis’s Super Bowl XLVI presentation.
The Herron-connected muralists helped add color and public art to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl celebration, but also for long-term beautification of the city’s downtown. The artists included:
- Pamela Bliss
- FAB Crew (Benjamin Long and Daniel Thompson)
- Michael Jordan (left bottom)
- William Denton Ray (left top)
- Amy Rheinhardt
- Barbara Zech (top)
- Barbara Stahl
Another artist with IUPUI ties, IU School of Education graduate Clayton Hamilton, also contributed two murals to the project.
